Nursery

I'm so excited to finally be ready to post pictures of the nursery.  Mommy and daddy worked really hard to make this a special space for me.

The theme is air travel, and the main colors are red and aqua with gray, yellow, and green accents.  The dresser below was unfinished wood and came from an apartment where mama used to work.  She stained it for her own bedroom a few years ago and recently repainted it red and white for my room.  The art work hung above was made by daddy in power point.  Pretty great, huh?

The rocker and changing table came from craigslist.  The red baskets came from miss Melissa, and mama sewed the curtains and made covers for the rocker and the changing pad.

Miss Melissa took the maternity pictures.  What a great looking family I have!

This little chair was a party favor my mama got at a birthday party when she was just a toddler... and it's now the perfect spot for my big sister to hang out while mama rocks me.

The hot air balloon is made out of scrapbook paper.

Here's my crib!  Mama made the bedding and sewed matching ribbon onto the mesh bumper.  I can't wait to start sleeping here... it looks really cozy.

Audrey and I both have an ugly doll standing on our crib.  This is Kaiju Ice-Bat... my ugly doll.  Audrey has Trunko.

A mobile of colorful stars and an airplane writing my name in the sky... flying up towards the moon.

The bookshelf!  A yarn-wrapped B, a little rocket man, red converse, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Really awesome art that we picked up from the farmer's market two weeks ago.  It really is the perfect final piece in the room.

There it is... pretty great, huh?!  :]

2 Months

I just keep on growing! Mama calls me a "healthy" baby boy, but we all know that means I have chunky thighs and kissable cheeks. The hair on the back of my head is starting to rub off. It's ok though, that's just the style for kids my age. I love to smile and coo. Except for this past week. My big sister coughing in my face finally did what you might expect it to do... it passed her cold right along to me! Thanks, sis, I owe you one. My longest stretch at night has been 7 hours, but I'm still not interested in sleeping at all from 5-7. It's amusing to watch my parents pull out all the stops to get me back to sleep. By the time they give up, so do I, and around 7 I'm back to sleep... just as Audrey is waking up.  I'm not interested in taking a paci, but I think mama is not going to give up offering it.  I overheard her saying how much easier life would be if I would just take it... but I'm not sure what she wants me to do with it.  Every time I try to chew on it it just pops right back out of my mouth!  My hands on the other... hand ;)  are great for the sucking.  If I could find my thumb I'm pretty sure I'd have it made.

I'm 12 lbs 13 oz (65th percentile) and 23.5" long (76th percentile).  I'm wearing 3mo clothes, and I'm more or less the size my sister was when she was 4 months old.
